Ping and her six friends
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” ~ Aesop
Hatching Date: October 2022
Little Ping and her six friends are Pekin ducks. Ping and her friends arrived into this world not under their mother's protective wings, but rather in an incubator in a preschool in Sydney, Australia.

A week passed, and as per the conditions of the program, the ducklings were due to be returned to the provider. This was the plan until it was revealed that the provider for this school hatching program was a duck meat farm; the ducklings were leaving a program that aimed to teach kids about the wonder of life, and heading to one of the worst places imaginable, especially if you are a duck.
Pekin ducks are the type of ducks used for duck meat and are typically farmed intensively in Australia. Sadly this industry deprives ducks of what is most inherently natural to them - water.
Ping, Snuggles and their five other friends are seven lucky individuals out of an estimated 8 million ducks farmed in Australia yearly. You haven't seen joy until you've witnessed a duck having a bath - these guys enjoy swimming, playing and cleaning themselves in their pond all day, every day!
Help Ping and her friends by not supporting school hatching programs, by learning about farmed ducks in Australia and sharing the info with your friends and family
